STUDENT MEAL DISTRIBUTION 

Doddridge County Schools will be offering a free Summer Feeding Program beginning June 1, 2020. Food will be delivered on Mondays and Thursdays of each week to children that have registered. The program will be available for 10 weeks, ending August 6, 2020. Children must be 18 years of age or under in order to qualify. Registration can be completed by clicking the link (SUMMER FOOD REGISTRATION FORM) under the Parents tab on the right-hand side.

CHANGE OF STUDENT ADDRESS/PHONE

If you have moved this school year, have changed your home phone number, or cell number(s), please complete a CHANGE OF ADDRESS/PHONE NUMBER REQUEST FORM. Request forms can be located on the "Parents" tab, on the right hand side. This is vital so that you and your student can receive mailings and School Messenger information in a timely manner. 

MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES

If you have a mental health need, please complete the MENTAL HEALTH CHECKUP form. This form can be found on the right hand side of the "Parents" page. You can also contact the Crisis Text Line by texting SHARE to 741741.

McKinney-Vento Act

If your family lives in any of the following situations:
  •       In a shelter
  •       In a motel or campground due to the lack of an alternative adequate accommodation
  •        In a car,  park, abandoned building, or bus or train station
  •       Doubled up with other people due to loss of housing or economic hardship

Your school-age children may qualify for certain rights an dprotections under the federal McKinney-Vento Act.

Student Insurance

Health Promotion and Immunization Information

Doddridge County Schools support and assist students in being healthy learners throught promoting annual well-child examinations, biannual dental examinations by licensed dentist, up-to-date immunizations, emergency information, and preventive health care. The school nurse is the school health expert who is qualified to lead the coordination and monitoring of health promotion through school screenings examinations.
 
HealthCheck:  New enterers in any West Virginia public school at first entry of either pre-kindergarten (Pre-K) or Kindergarten and all student progressing to grades 2, 7, and 12 should have on file within 45 days of enrollment/entry or prior to the first day of school attendance a record of a HealthCheck screening, or other comprehensive helath screening comparable to the HealthCheck protocol. All screening forms shall be signed and dated by the child's licensed health care provider and completed within the prior 12 calendar months.
 
Oral Heath:  New enterers in any West Virginia public school at first entry of either pre-kindergarted (Pre-K) or Kindergarten and all students progressing to grades 2, 7, and 12 should have on file within 45 days of enrollment/entry or prior to the first day of school attendance a record of an Oral Health examination.  All examination forms shall be signed and dated by the child's dentist and completed within the prior 12 calendar months.
 
Tuberculin Skin Test:  West Virginia continues to be a state with low incidence rates of tuberculosis hence the removal of tuberculosis skin testing for out-of-state student transfers and new school employees.
