Right To Know

School systems must notify the parents of each student attending any school receiving Title I funds that they may request information regarding the professional qualifications of the student's teachers and paraprofessionals. Each of the teachers and aide/paraprofessionals who work with the children in Doddridge County Schools are fully licensed and certified as a highly qualified teacher in at least one area of expertise, and are among the most qualified teaches and aides available.

Because the school your child attends receives Title I funds, you have the right to request the following information:
  1. Whether the teacher has met the State requirements for licensure and certification for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction.
  2. Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which State qualification or licensing criteria have been waived.
  3. The college major and any other gradate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the field or discipline of the certification or degree.
  4. Whether your child is provided services by paraprofessionals, and if so their qualifications.
Please contact the Doddridge County Board of Education by telephone, letter, fax or in person if you would like to request information pertaining to any of the above.
