Today, through a partnership with our Holistic Child Department/Communities in Schools, Child Nutrition program, Route 18 Farmer's Market and the Doddridge County Farmer's Market, DCELA and DCES students were able to participate in an attendance incentive of an onsite "Famer's Market". Attendance Matters and being at school on this beautiful day allowed our students to participate in this event. Students were given tokens and bags to shop for a variety of produce including cabbage, peppers, pumpkins, potatoes, carrots, apples, and many more other fruits and vegetables. Students were excited to shop for their own produces and could not wait to get their items home to help with a family meal!
Doddridge County Schools would like to thank our Holistic Child Department/Communities in Schools, Child Nutrition program, Route 18 Farmer's Market and the Doddridge County Farmer's Market for their time and resources to ensure our students are making healthy choices.
