After a couple of cold and snowy days with school canceled due to weather, Elsa stopped in to visit students at Doddridge County Early Learning Academy on December 18, 2025, as a special attendance incentive. Students who attended school that day were excited to be greeted by Elsa as she made her way around the school as a fun surprise.
Even though winter weather canceled school earlier in the week and we are heading into a break, being present at school remains important. Elsa helped remind our students to stay ready to learn while also getting excited for the upcoming break!

The Doddridge County Board of Education proudly recognizes our Doddridge FFA Horse Evaluation Team for their outstanding accomplishments! 🐎✨
Earlier this fall, four of our Bulldogs traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts to compete in the Eastern States Exposition Horse Evaluation Career Development Event. The team placed 3rd in the eastern region, with three members finishing in the top nine — a tremendous achievement that reflects their hard work, skill, and dedication! 👏
🏆 Team Members:
Bell Holtz, Zoey Richards, Rogan Smith, and Trey McDonough
Under the direction of instructors Mr. Rabel and Ms. Wean, these students have demonstrated exceptional ability in evaluation, reasoning, and presentation — representing Doddridge County with excellence.
Next up, they’re heading to Columbus, Ohio next week to represent Doddridge County and the State of West Virginia at the National Competition! 🐴
We are incredibly proud of these talented students and wish them the very best as they take their #MissionInMotion to the national stage! 💚💛

Today, thanks to a wonderful partnership with our Holistic Child Department, Route 18 Farmer’s Market, and the Doddridge County Farmer’s Market, our students got to experience a special on-site Farmer’s Market as part of an attendance incentive program!
Because they showed up and showed out on this beautiful day, students received shopping bags and tokens to “shop” for their own fresh produce — including cabbage, peppers, pumpkins, potatoes, apples, and so much more! 🛍️🍠🎃
The excitement was contagious as students carefully selected their fruits and veggies — many couldn't wait to get home and help prepare a family meal with their healthy haul. 🥰🥗
We are incredibly grateful to our partners for making this event possible and helping teach our students the importance of healthy choices and regular school attendance.
