How We Hire and Why It Matters
A Purpose-Driven Approach to Recruitment at Doddridge County Schools
At Doddridge County Schools, every position matters because every role contributes to the success of our students. We take a thoughtful and transparent approach to recruitment, using multiple platforms and strategies to ensure we connect with the right individuals to serve our schools and community.
• Frontline – WV K12 Jobs
This statewide platform, launched by the West Virginia Department of Education, allows us to reach a broader audience, streamline applications, and increase visibility for all openings. All district job opportunities are now posted through Frontline, making the process more accessible and transparent for applicants across the state. West Virginia K-12 Jobs - Frontline Recruitment
• District Employment Page
Open positions are also listed on our website at dcschools.us. This local resource ensures easy access for community members and those seeking opportunities within Doddridge County. Kindergarten Classroom Teacher-DCELA at Doddridge County Schools (WV) | SchoolSpring
• Cooperative Partnerships
For certain highly skilled roles or positions not clearly defined under traditional classification codes, counties may partner with educational cooperatives. In our region, we work with the Southeastern Educational Services Cooperative (SESC). These partnerships allow us to meet unique staffing needs efficiently and in compliance with state guidelines. Each cooperative position is reviewed annually and renewed only if a continued need is identified. Employment | SESCWV.ORG
Each method of posting serves a unique purpose, but our goal remains the same: to recruit individuals who are not only qualified but also committed to making a difference.
Through a hiring process grounded in transparency, adaptability, and excellence, we are building a team that reflects the heart of our mission, united to make a difference.

🌿 May is Mental Health Awareness Month 🌿
A gentle reminder: You are enough. 💚
Your feelings are valid, and you don’t have to go through anything alone. There is help, there is hope, and there are people who care.
If you're struggling, support is available. Please reach out — your mental health matters.

Attention parents and guardians, you wil be able to see their students' (Grades 3-8) West Virginia General Summative Assessment results online this spring in the View My results site (https://wv.portal.cambiumast.com/).
For most students, the results of each test will be available 24 hours after completing the ELA, Math or Science tests. Once on the View My Results site, you will need to enter your student's 6 character unique code.
Another letter will be sent home at the beginning of the week that contains your unique access code, in the case that you cannot locate yours.
Use this link: https://wv.portal.cambiumast.com/ to gain access to your student's results.

Doddridge County, WV – May 12–16 marks National Mental Health Awareness Week, a time to highlight the importance of mental well-being and to honor those who go above and beyond to support it. In recognition of this vital week, the Doddridge County Schools Holistic Child Team is proud to celebrate five exceptional staff members who have been named the 2025 Holistic Child Champions for Mental Health.
These individuals have shown outstanding dedication to student wellness by serving as advocates, role models, and trusted adults within their school communities. Their commitment helps foster safe, supportive environments where students feel comfortable seeking guidance and mental health support.
🏅 2025 Holistic Child Champions for Mental Health:
