D.C.H.S. LOVES OUR FIRST RESPONDERS!

September 19 has been declared West Virginia School Service Personnel Day by Governor Justice.
I also wish to express my gratitude for all the hard work and dedication our service personnel bring to Doddridge County Schools. Their efforts make a world of difference in creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for students and staff alike.
Their commitment to their work and compassion for our students, whether in the cafeteria, maintaining our facilities, providing support in the classroom, making sure our buses are safe, transporting our students or managing administrative tasks, does not go unnoticed. They play a vital role in shaping the educational experience and ensuring that everything runs smoothly.
So thank you to our School Service Personnel!
Superintendent Scott Cochran.

Doddridge County High School will honor our First Responders Friday September 20th.
You make our lives and our communty so much better with your selflessness and brave service.

This is a reminder to check your son or daughter's grades at the high school. Midterms for the first six weeks was on September 3rd. The first six weeks of high school ends on September 23rd. We can't stress to you enough to check your child's grades. We don't want to see anyone get behind on their credits for failing classes.
If you have any questions, you can call the high school.

Good Evening,
The Doddridge County Board of Education is committed to the safety of all students and staff members. As many are aware, there has been a statewide and nationwide circulation of school threats via various forms of social media. At this point, Doddridge County has no credible evidence as it relates to these threats associated with our schools, we will continue to monitor the situation in collaboration with the Doddridge County Sheriff's Office, WV State Police, Homeland Security and the Fusion Center. We would like to thank our local law enforcement agencies for keeping our schools safe and secure.
Scott Cochran
Superintendent

The PSAT/NMSQT is a standardized test that will allow students to see where they stand compared to their peers. This is great practice for the Spring School Day Assessments. For 11th graders, this will also determine National Merit Scholarship Qualifications (NMSQT) and earn valuable test-taking experiences that can prepare you for the SAT or ACT. If you are interested in taking this exam, please contact Mrs. Ash at the High School. This test is optional and Doddridge County BOE will take care of the cost.
