REMINDER: Activity Route Schedule
Attention, parents! Just a reminder about the Activity Route schedule. Please keep in mind that the posted times are approximate and may vary depending on the number of students riding each day.

Kingston Roberts, a handsome aspiring wrestler, led the Pledge of Allegiance at the Doddridge County Board of Education regular meeting on November 18, 2024. Thank you, Kingston, for starting the meeting off strong!

At its regular meeting on November 18, 2024, the Doddridge County Board of Education members recognized Jennifer Johnson, Doddridge County Middle School’s art teacher, for being named the West Virginia Art Education Association’s 2024 Middle Art Educator of the Year. Miss Johnson was commended for her dedication to her students, and exceptional ability to inspire through art. The award, presented on November 8 at WVU’s Museum of Art, highlights her impact and the importance of art in education.

Mrs. Hayes and Ms. Connie's first grade class prepared a wonderful "Macy's Thanksgiving Parade" for the office staff. Students decorated balloons on popsicle sticks to represent their float! Fantastic job, students!

Make your calendars!! DCES will host a Title I night for all students and parents/guardians to attend on Thursday, November 21 from 3:30-5:30pm! Families will be able to shop at the Scholastics Book Fair, participate in a book walk, photo booths, and enter to win prizes. Refreshments will be provided for those who attend!

DCES Students welcomed Coastal Winds Barn Hill Preserve to school today to learn about animal preservation. Students learned about bearded dragons, hedgehogs, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and spectacled owls as part of our science curriculum!

Tomorrow, November 13th, is DCES Picture Retake Day!

Doddridge County High School is excited to host Valley Wetzel in the first round of the Class A football playoffs! Join us at Cline Stansberry Stadium on Friday, November 15th, with kickoff at 7:00 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE: Doddridge County Extracurricular Passes will not be accepted for playoff games, per WVSSAC guidelines. All tickets must be purchased electronically through GoFan; no paper tickets will be available at the gate. We’ll post the ticket link and QR code on our media channels as soon as they’re provided by WVSSAC.
Come out and support the Bulldogs in their playoff journey!
Olivia Travis, Miss WV Teen USA 2024, visited DCES to read to students and discuss the importance of setting goals and believing in themselves to always do their best.

CHECK OUT OUR NEW TRUCKING SIMULATOR TONIGHT!
Doddridge County Schools invites everyone to stop by and see our new Trucking Simulator before the football game this evening! Thanks to the incredible generosity of Hall Drilling, our high school students now have access to a state-of-the-art simulator that provides hands-on truck driving experience. This cutting-edge tool not only offers students a safe environment to learn and practice, but also helps them prepare for their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) when they turn 18.
We’re sincerely grateful for Hall Drilling’s investment in our students’ futures, and we’re excited to see how their support will make a lasting impact on our community. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this new resource in action and learn more about this amazing program!

NED visited DCES today to talk to students about Never giving up, Encouraging others, and to Do your best! This character education program promotes and inspires students to come champions at school and in life.
