We’re excited to announce the successful conclusion of our first-ever Attendance Madness tournament with Doddridge County Homerooms! 🎉 After much hard work and dedication, we’re thrilled to congratulate our first-ever winner: Mrs. McCants’ Homeroom from Doddridge County Elementary School! 🏆
Mrs. McCants shared that this group of students worked tirelessly as a team to earn this victory. Every student was ecstatic when Mr. Waugaman and Mr. Bragg delivered the good news! 🙌
Mrs. Amos emphasized that consistent attendance is a key factor in student success, both in the classroom and in overall performance. 💪
Mr. Waugaman also mentioned he’s already looking forward to next year’s tournament, plus other exciting attendance incentives his team is working on to help schools succeed even more. ✨

🏆 Bulldog Excellence on Display!
The Doddridge County Board of Education recognized outstanding student achievements in FBLA, swimming, and wrestling during the March 17th meeting.
In FBLA, Ella Powers and Mason Richards earned 1st place finishes, with Angelena Zifka, Braden Lipscomb, and Austin Poling also placing strongly at the State Leadership Conference.
In swimming, Isabella McGrady took 2nd in the 100-yard butterfly, while Colton Key and Addyson Robey also represented Doddridge County at state-level competition.
The wrestling team placed 8th in Single A at the State Tournament. Trey McDonough secured 5th place in the 113-pound weight class, setting a school record with a 52-3 season, while Tristan Swiger tied a school record with 32 pins. Noah Wekseth and Jayden Powers demonstrated outstanding effort against top competitors.
In recognition of their excellence, leadership, and perseverance, these students received the "It’s a Great Day to be a Bulldog" certificate, celebrating their dedication and hard work. Their commitment to success embodies the true spirit of a Bulldog, determined, resilient, and always striving for greatness.

At the Doddridge County Board of Education’s regular meeting on March 17th, Ella Powers, a sophomore at DCHS, led the Pledge of Allegiance. Ella is involved in FBLA, Track & Field, The Doddridge County Bulldog, and Teen-Leaders 4-H. She is also active in the community through pageants, volunteer work, and as a lifeguard at Doddridge County Park. Thank you, Ella, for your leadership! 💚💛

The time for parent teacher conferences will be from 3:30 - 6:30.


What a weekend for our Bulldogs!
From academics and music to agriculture and community service, Doddridge County students continue to shine.
🥇 The DCMS History Bowl Team took 1st place out of 23 teams, earning their spot at the state tournament!
🎶 The Bel Canto Bulldog Show Choir won “Best Set” at the Herbert Hoover River Classic, showcasing incredible teamwork and dedication.
🥓🥚 Doddridge County FFA’s Ham, Bacon, Egg & Shelf Life Item Sale highlighted the students’ hard work and craftsmanship.
🛏️ DCHS Track Team members spent their morning building beds for local youth in need with Sleep in Heavenly Peace of Doddridge County.

Doddridge County High School FBLA members recently attended the West Virginia FBLA State Leadership Conference at Camp Dawson on March 12-13, 2025, where they competed against students from across the state in both testing and performance events.
FBLA provides students with valuable opportunities to develop career-ready skills, expand leadership abilities, network with peers, and gain recognition for their achievements. Our 14 competing members showcased their business knowledge, career competencies, and professionalism in a variety of Career & Technical Education events, earning outstanding results:

🥇 Mason Richards – 1st Place, Intro to Parliamentary Procedures
🥉 Angelena Zifka – 3rd Place, Business Communication
